Overview

Our most comprehensive Kenya safari — 15 days covering nine of the country's finest reserves and conservancies. From the Northern wildlife of Samburu and the chimps and rhinos of Ol Pejeta, through the elegant Mount Kenya Safari Club, the flamingos of Lake Nakuru, the legendary Maasai Mara, Naivasha, Amboseli with Kilimanjaro views, and the twin Tsavos.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Olpejeta Conservancy 
Our dedicated guide shall pick you from your Nairobi hotel and proceed to the Sweetwaters game reserve and chimpanzee sanctuary. This 70,000-acre private preserve has views of the peaks of Mount Kenya and offers game drives into countryside many travelers never see. 
Check into your tented camp for a delicious hot lunch.  
This afternoon game drive takes us to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens.
 Sweet waters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya.

Day 2: Olpejeta Full day

Enjoy early morning game drives. Later proceed to the park for more game drives. 
Visit the last remaining Northern white rhinos. Return for hot lunch.
Afternoon can be spent on leisure. 
Dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 3: Olpejeta – Drive to Samburu Game Reserve
Enjoy breakfast, proceed to Samburu national park which is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes. 
Arrival in time for hot buffet lunch. Later afternoon game drives till 6pm.

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve
Enjoy Hot breakfast and later before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in the afternoon.

Day 5: Samburu – Drive to Mt. Kenya Safari Club
Our destination today is the lovely Mount Kenya Safari Club. This exclusive club offers an experience of refined elegance and luxury, as well as a sense of old Hollywood thanks to its glamorous past. All of the amenities you would expect from a fine establishment are here, including horse stables, golf, trout streams, tennis and sauna. Fine dining, gracious hospitality and superb accommodations are sure to be highlights of our stay. 

Day 6: Mt. Kenya Safari Club - Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. 
 
The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve
This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run.
The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles.

Days 8–9: Discover Masai Mara.
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today and tomorrow during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. 
 
During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 10: Masai Mara – Drive to Lake Naivasha
Emjoy hot breakfast and check out, and proceed to lake Naivasha. We arrive in time for lunch at our lodge by the lake and early afternoon, we take an optional boat ride (cost payable separately)
((Optional= a nature walk at Crescent Island is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot. The Island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, Vervet monkeys, hares, genet cats, waterbuck and giraffe. Or you may wish to lounge by the pool admiring the view of zebras, Giraffes and waterbuck just outside the fence.))

Day 11: Lake Naivasha – Drive to Amboseli National Park
This day, Amboseli National park is our destination– home to the legendary Masai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant. Amboseli is big game country: Lion, Cheetah antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, buffalo and giraffe. 
The afternoon game run is planned to introduce you to intense beauty and drama that fill each day here. Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro – can be seen from all the lodges that ‘African Spice’ uses
 
Amboseli Kibo Camp or Ol Tukai Lodge 

Day 12:  Amboseli National Park
Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. 

Optional visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Masai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. 

Ol Tukai lodge or Amboseli Kibo Lodge 
 

Day 13: Amboseli – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
Enjoy hot breakfast, check out and our next stop is Tsavo National Park. The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. 
It’s famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and bird life. 
Other notable features include Mzima Springs which are water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow and Ash cones, which is an example of recent volcanic eruption. 

Overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge or Severin Safari Camp 

Day 14: Tsavo West – Drive to Tsavo East National Park
Morning game drive in Tsavo West then return for breakfast and depart by road to Tsavo East National Park. There are many interesting aspects in the open areas of Tsavo East not least the spine of the Yatta Plateau, one of the world's longest lava flows.
Lugard Falls gush through a small fissure, narrow enough for the foolhardy to leap across, before dropping to Crocodile Point below, where the river changes its name to the Galana.

Day 15: Tsavo East – Drive to Nairobi or Mombasa
This is the last day of this exciting Kenyan safari. Enjoy your breakfast, check out and proceed for morning game drives. Later, exit the park to end the tour in Mombasa or Diani beach.
